NEXT Venture Pitch Aims to Educate, Empower Entrepreneurs with Entrepreneur Leadership Series

Agenda details for the September 16th event highlight continuing opportunities for entrepreneurs to excel

The agenda for the Entrepreneur Leadership Series at NEXT Venture Pitch 2021 promises to deliver powerful takeaways for executive attendees. Sponsored by the GADC, this 3-hour morning session will be available as an additional experience beyond the action-packed afternoon conference agenda. "Planning the Fundraise: An Insider’s Guide to Success with your Next Fundraising Event”

John Yates is an experienced and highly decorated attorney in the field of technology law. Practicing law for over 30 years, John has had the opportunity to speak on hundreds of occasions and has been cited by the United States Supreme Court in Kodak v. Image Technical Services. He is a top lawyer in the venture capital sphere and is frequently quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

This session will go past surface-level tips and tricks and delve into the key areas executives should look to address when they are preparing to raise- because without them, you could be costing yourself your next deal.

“7 Keys to Negotiation: The Hidden Secret to Great Entrepreneurship”

Negotiation – it’s not a four letter word, but why do we treat it like that? As entrepreneurs and leaders, negotiation is the number one skill you need to master. In this powerful session, you will hear from Greenville’s own Marty Osborn, partner at Advoco and a business strategy and leadership expert. He will share the 7 keys to driving successful negotiation that he has learned. Drawing on his vast experiences in the business world, as well as the principles laid out by Bill Garcia, co-founder of TableForce, Marty will walk you through the power of negotiation.

In this session, entrepreneurs will learn specific strategies on how to catapult your business and implement tools to avoid becoming disarmed in any negotiation- because when everything you do is a negotiation, you cannot afford to lose.

“VC Unplugged: An Unscripted Q&A with Top Venture Investors of the Southeast”

VC panel facilitated and moderated by: Alex Estevez

This interactive session, facilitated by Alex Estevez, Venture Partner with Silicon Valley-based Accel offers entrepreneurs a space to engage in dialogue with experienced venture capital investors who have done deals across the Carolinas, Southeast, and United States. This valuable opportunity ensures attendees they’ll have a chance to be seen, be heard, and get feedback from experienced investors in a focused environment. This session will give entrepreneurs the benefit of participating in a live Q&A with VCs, equipping them with the experience they will need when it's their turn to raise funds.
